I’ve been working for years with individuals who struggle with alcohol and drug abuse. Often therapy starts with a discussion about what the client’s ideal life might look like if things change in relation to the drug or alcohol habit.
I work with clients and help them make decisions about their usage. In therapy we come up with a realistic and manageable plan towards feeling relief and success in recovery.
We may discuss harm reduction, abstinence, and how to maintain and develop a life-long strategy for better health habits.
